ALYPOD is a research group interested with the image retrieval applied to printed old books. Especially, the main topics of CALYPOD concerns the processings of graphical parts inside these books like headpieces, pictures or ornamental letters. It investigates the use of computer science techniques in order to pre-process, to segment, to recognize, to retrieve or to match these graphical parts from these books.
he CALYPOD group is an open initiative engaged by different researchers working on these topics. The people of CALYPOD group come from computer science domain but also from human one. Different partners (laboratories and/or centers) are concerned. This website gives a set of resources (publications, talks, softwares, databases, ...) resulting of CALYPOD works or collected from related projects.
